About me
Welcome! I am an applied economist who designs, implements, and evaluates social interventions.
I am Associate Professor at the University of Middlesex and Profesor Investigador Titular at CIDE.
I earned my PhD in Economics from the University Essex, my MSc in Economics from University College London, and my BSc in Economics from CIDE.
My academic work has been published in the American Journal of Political Science, Economic Letters, the International Journal of Forecasting, and Judgement and Decision Making, among other outlets.
My research focuses on the design and evaluation of interventions aiming to increase school enrolment and learning outcomes, reduce gender-biased social norms, increase awareness about risky sexual behaviour and early marriage, and improve young people’s understanding about democracy.
I am Associate Editor of the Latin American Economic Review, Member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Behavioral and Experimental Economics, and Guest Editor of the Special Issue on the 50th Anniversary of the Division of Economics of CIDE.
I have taught courses in microeconomics, development economics, econometrics, and experimental methods.
